Creative Collaboration
In designing the Beer Haus for the past Home + Garden Show in Calgary I decided to use palettes as my inspiration. Their raw look and their organic sense, really lent itself to creating an industrial feel the space that I was designing. I knew I wanted to use them somehow and decided that attaching them to the wall and creating a feature would add some great texture to the space, and how easy?!
I also worked with a local company here in Calgary called 2Stone. They specialize in doing all types of concrete work and I asked them if they would like to help me out with some furniture pieces for the feature. I told them the concept and they created these amazing custom furniture pieces just for my feature. Amazing, right?! I love it when 2 design minds can collaborate and turn out some fabulous design.
Thank you to Justin at Lise at 2Stone for working this out.

5 Best iPad cases
I received an iPad for Christmas this year and have to say, it is a really fun tool to have not only for my business but also for some fun. I have become a bit of an app fanatic! I have been in search for a chic case to put the gorgeous piece of technology in and have been bombarded by some pretty unique and stylish ones on what else... Etsy! I thought to go through them and pick out my top 5 and here they are:
1. Feruto Bags : For the Techy
2. Luscious Leather NYC : For the World Traveller
3. stash : For the Haberdasher
4. Janine King Designs : For the Vintage Lover
5. Jenna Lou Designs : For the Fashionista

Christian Lacroix for Designers Guild
Starting out in 1987, the house of Chrisitan Lacroix has created a buzz in the fashion world with its gypsy and Provencal traditions and by the flamboyant Haut Couture scene in Paris and London during the 60's.
The collection aptly named Air de Paris, is gorgeous to put it mildly. Lovely soft patterns mixed in with geometric stripes are a perfect juxtaposition. Just think bourgeois style mixed with boho/industrial chic!
