The drive to San Fran from Palm Springs is long and not all that beautiful. Unless you are driving up the coast, then it's spectacular. However, we did not have the luxury of time so we took the fastest route. This was my first time in San Fran and I loved it. The city is a mix of Vancouver and NYC! SO FAB!
Walking around the streets really took my breath away... literally! Walking up those hills was not easy but so worth it. I found the architecture of the homes to be stunning, the people to be great, and the design/fashion scene to be so eclectic.
One store that stood out was
KRIMSA. It caught my eye as soon as we walked by and I had to go in. One of the owners, Daniel told me that they source their items from all around the world... India, Nepal, Africa, Tibet and you could tell. My fave pieces were their extensive collection of pillows. From bold geometric prints to Ikat printed pillows. They had it all. Now, if only we could get something like this in our fair city!
Torso Vintages was a store we stumbled upon while walking back to our hotel from a long day of shopping. Located on Sutter Street, this fab find carries everything from evening gowns to swimwear... but all vintage. I picked up a stunning tie clip, chrome and black... very Dior Homme! The owner most certainly has a keen eye for what's hot and he let me take a photo in the store... something which he does not normally let people do. Thanks John!
Another hidden gem was
The Secret Flower Garden. Tucked away on Union St. this cute little shop was an oasis in the middle of the city. We could not help but pop our heads in see what they had to offer: the most unique flower arrangements I have ever seen. My fave was the arrangement in the birch log: COME ON?! SO FAB!
